Ever since the summer of 1995, Great Mills High School has undergone some major changes. Our school recieved 17 million dollars to renovate, expand, and technologize the entire building, and everything in it. When the renovations first started, it was an inconvenience to the students, teachers, and administrators. For quite some time Great Mills alternated between a dust bowl and a mud pit, depending on whether it rained the day before or not. The school itself became a maze as hallways were closed off and new hallways were opened up. Now, however, the benefits of these changes are starting to appear. The new science classrooms are extremely nice (though not perfect, of course), many new areas of the school have opened up, and everyone seems to agree that it was worth the wait.
